RECIPROCITY Jewels is an initiative that allows jewelry designers to collaborate directly with artisanal miners from Madre de Dios, Peru, modeling the power of the collective to create positive impact for source communities. Our goal is to humanize people’s view of the jewelry supply chain, showing that a clear path exists towards a gold supply chain with unprecedented levels of traceability, benefitting miners, designers, customers, and nature alike. The Reciprocity Jewels project creates an unprecedented educational opportunity for the jewelry industry, and it invites jewelry collectors to learn about the issues with mining, showing both groups how to actively be a part of the solutions.
Each November, NYC Jewelry Week proudly presents ‘The Week,’ a 7-day celebration dedicated to the art of jewelry. This annual event invites a global audience to explore the world of jewelry through a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences, spanning New York City and beyond.
