As part of a new events series ‘Kitchen Stories at Fortnum’s’, we welcome celebrated authors to discuss their literary endeavours

We’re very excited to introduce the next guest in our Kitchen Stories series: self-confessed cookie obsessive and food writer Ben Mims. Ben will join us in our Book Shop on the 3rd Floor at our Piccadilly store, where he’ll be sharing more about the launch of his new cookbook, published by Phaidon, Crumbs: Cookies and Sweets from Around the World.

Filled with recipes that have been carefully curated, researched, and tested by Ben himself, Crumbs takes you from region to region, providing an accessible and compelling glimpse into the cultural, historical, and culinary status of the cookie across time and place. Whether it be honey-soaked delicacies from Greece and Turkey; Northern European spiced gingerbreads; South American cookies made with guava; southeast Asian cookies with tapioca and coconut; or cardamom cookies from Somalia, this scrumptious collection celebrates the unique characteristics of each region’s specialities and ingredients.
