The three accomplished panelists, each lend a unique perspective. Susan Grant Lewin, is an important Art jewelry collector, whose jewelry has been both exhibited and donated to the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design museum, Yale University Art Gallery, SCAD Museum of Art, and most recently at the Lowe Art Museum in Miami. Ursula Ilse-Neumann is a leading expert, writer, and curator of Art Jewelry and Design. She is Curator Emerita at the Museum of Arts and Design, New York and continues to curate, write and act as juror for international exhibitions. Jill Deupi, Director and Chief Curator at the Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL, who most recently held the exhibition ‘Susan Grant Lewin and the Art Jewelry World’.
The panel will be hosted by Dianne Batista, Senior Vice President, Jewelry and Watches at Freeman’s | Hindman, who has brought many important art jewelry pieces to auction and continues to promote this collecting category.
The event will include a select showing of jewelry from the collection of Susan Grant Lewin and upcoming Art Jewelry by William Harper, Jean Mahie, and others to be auctioned this December at Freeman’s | Hindman.
