Database administrator turned professional baker, Jürgen Krauss’s interest in baking began in his childhood as he stood at his mother’s side in the kitchen of their home in the Black Forest in Germany. However, it wasn’t until he moved to the UK in 2003, that his baking really took off. Unable to find the traditional German bread he so missed from home, he began making his own. In 2021, Jürgen competed in the Great British Bake Off, winning the heart of the nation and showcasing a knack for both savoury and sweet bakes that saw him get through to the semi-finals.
