Once, the leading perfumer of Chanel, Jacques Polge, said that clothes serve to decorate a person’s appearance, and perfume is to reflect his inner world. Choosing a perfume for ourselves, we act relying on intuition. By our choice, we make a character statements, which covers everything from self-esteem to our perception of the world. Perfumes influence mood, and support or supress your emotions and thoughts, thus allowing you to connect or disconnect from particulars types of people around you.
The perfume we use at home is different from the perfume we wear when we go to work, the theatre, on a date or in a sports club. And this is not surprising, because not only the owner of the perfume has a character. The perfumes themselves bear certain traits: some perfumes are sexy, some are feminine, others are energetic and sporty, or mysterious and puzzling. Modern psychologists have come to the conclusion that the choice of perfumery is determined not by the objective properties of a person, but exclusively by his internal sense character. We will try to determine our character facets, explore how fragrances relate to particular traits, and analyse the missing facets, and how to substitute then with perfume notes. All this and more, will be presented during our show!
