“Die 2014 durch Harry, Duke of Sussex initiierten Invictus Games werden 2023 erstmals in Deutschland stattfinden. Die Bundeswehr und die Stadt Düsseldorf sind stolz, gemeinsam Gastgeber für dieses einzigartige, internationale Sportfestival sein zu dürfen.
Mit den 6. Invictus Games in Düsseldorf ist es unser Ziel, an Seele und Körper verwundeten, verletzten und erkrankten Soldatinnen und Soldaten eine größere Wahrnehmung und Anerkennung in der Gesellschaft zuteilwerden zu lassen und ihren Weg in der Rehabilitation zu unterstützen.
Unter dem Motto “A HOME FOR RESPECT.“ begrüßt die Stadt gemeinsam mit der Bundeswehr rund 500 Wettkämpferinnen und Wettkämpfern aus über 20 Nationen sowie rund 1.000 Familienangehörige und Freunde zu Wettkämpfen in zehn Disziplinen.

“Initiated in 2014 by Harry, Duke of Sussex, the Invictus Games will be held in Germany for the first time in 2023. The German Armed Forces and the City of Düsseldorf are proud to jointly host this unique international sports festival.
With the 5th Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, our goal is to give soldiers who are wounded, injured or ill in body and soul a greater awareness and recognition in society and to support their path in rehabilitation.
Under the motto “A HOME FOR RESPECT.” the city, together with the German Armed Forces, welcomes around 500 competitors from more than 20 nations as well as around 1,000 family members and friends to compete in ten disciplines.
