About the tour leader, Fiona Leonard
On her first day in primary school, Fiona refused to leave the reading corner to participate in a class activity because she had been told that school was where you learned to read and she expected to be taught to read. Turns out school doesn’t work that way. This was her first indication that the pursuit of words may in fact be a subversive activity. Since then, Fiona has maintained a healthy scepticism towards people who tell you what, when and how you should read and write.
A published author, playwright, and filmmaker, Fiona has an incurable case of wanderlust that has taken her to 33 countries on five continents. She arrived in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2015 somewhat by accident (this sort of thing happens a lot…) and has no immediate plans to leave.
