The FASHION AND ARTS XCHANGE GROUP, INC. (FAX) will host a celebration for the iconic designer Stephen Burrows honoring the 50th Anniversary of The Battle of Versailles.
On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, we will host an exclusive event paying tribute to the legendary fashion designer, Stephen Burrows, for his remarkable contributions to the world of fashion, his outstanding career, and his fantastic debut as a top American Fashion Designer at the historic Versailles fashion extravaganza, exactly 50 years to the day of the “Battle of Versailles.”
The evening will feature a live one-on-one conversation with Stephen Burrows, guest appearances by the Versailles Models and friends in the business of fashion engaging in conversation about when American Fashion took center stage in France and how Black Models reigned supreme.
Special video tributes, live performances, and many other wonderful surprises as FAX highlights Burrows’ rise from Newark, New Jersey to the highest levels of the fashion industry.

The event will be held at The Fashion Institute of Technology and promises to be an unforgettable night, featuring distinguished guests, renowned fashion icons, industry leaders, and media coverage. The main focus of the event is to celebrate Stephen Burrows’ pivotal participation in the historic “Battle of Versailles,” which took place 50 years to the day on November 28, 1973, in Versailles, France.
